It
never fails to be fun and rewarding to make music with other players,
professional or new to chamber playing. The
music is wonderful and the partnerships gratifying. Among chamber music highlights are performances
with musicians from the Billings (Montana) Symphony of Schubert’s Trout Quintet (1998), recitals of Music at the Elvehjem with flutist Tim
Lane (2000) and a second recital with Tim and other faculty musicians from the
University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (2006), both of which were broadcast live
over Wisconsin public radio.
I was invited to collaborate on a series of recitals at locations on the North Shore and in Central Massachusetts in the fall of 2011 with the oboe/bassoon duo Virtualosity (Christa Garvey and Karen Atria) and, and, mostly recently, in the fall of 2013, with baritone Mark Morgan and the Quartetto Ardente in a series of recitals commemorating The Great War at 100.
