Teaching
has always been a part of my life. Watching my adult students (and occasional
dedicated, advanced youth students) grow, whether they are new to music or are
already competent pianists, is a joy to me. My ability to teach people to
develop a solid technique and a well-grounded understanding of keyboard harmony
and its application to score reading is key to my approach in the studio. Students
discover that patience and calm, careful work result in the ability to problem
solve on their own, making their practice productive and enjoyable. This
gentle, student/mentor relationship makes lessons much less stressful and
creates an atmosphere conducive to good music-making.
I am currently teaching out of my lovely studio in Rockport and welcome mature students, beginner and beyond, who want to make music a part of their lives. If interested, please submit the form provided in the “Contact” page of this web site.
